Scientists Explore Siberian Permafrost

American and Russian scientists are studying the Kolyma lowland permafrost (Northeastern Siberia, Russia). During field season 2015 samples from the permanently frozen sediments of 5,000 to 2 million years old were collected on a remote site of Alazeya River.
